Next year's drivers of Team Prost Grand Prix are already official. As I wrote in my news of 20^th August 1999, Jean Alesi has been confirmed to drive for Team Prost next year. Jean Alesi and Alain Prost are good friends since they both drive for Ferrari back in 1991. They both live in Switzerland, very close to each other and will now try to bring the Prost-team to the top.

In the same news I wrote that Jean Alesi and Sarrazin would be a good mixture (an experienced driver and a young one). Now, Nick Heidfeld signed for next year. Nick Heidfeld is another young driver but I thought that he would sign for the Sauber Team, but as Sauber already has a contract with Mika Salo for next year, Team Prost GP was the best possibility for Nick Heidfeld and he took the chance. I was very surprised to read Alain's words regarding his drivers for the season 2000: "With Jean Alesi and Nick Heidfeld, we have the perfect mixture of experience and youth"... This sounds as if Alain would have read my newspage, ha, ha...
